January 2010 reads

I just finished my first biography from my 2010 biography &/or memoir challenge. I have a book a month scheduled for this genre.
I Am A Soldier Too, The Jessica Lynch Story, by Rick Bragg
  • Read from January 14 to 31, 2010
  • Recommended by:  It jumped out at me.
  • Review: I give it 4.5 stars. This was a real eye-opener & Bragg did a great job of reporting it. It's amazing how the media can twist the truth. Bragg did a great job of correcting those errors & in his reporting made it a good read. In a M*A*S*H episode Major Frank Burns said, "We all know it's brutal up there at the front, especially those of us at the rear." The 507th Maintenance Company were definitely in the rear. The Army, in it's infinite wisdom, sent out supply clerks to their death, with a CD & sketchy instructions. Somehow that doesn't surprise me.
This makes 4 books read for the month of January, with 3 in progress.

Read: 4 down, 140 to go.
Weight? Who knows, I don't. I forget to weigh, pfft.
