Mother is in the Franklin County Transitional Care Center aka FCTCC aka the nursing home. I said I would never put her in the nursing home. I drug my feet on it, but the plan, in my mind at least, has been only a week.
When I told her how much it would cost to stay there ($7,000 a month), she said, "I can only stay here a week then." She was totally serious.
Today is the first time Nick has been in to see her since last Sunday at the hospital. For one thing, he hasn't known where she is. We were discussing that today & Mother said, "I'm down here in the dungeon." She is in the last room on her hall.
She was incarcerated on Tuesday, July 26, & so a week will be Tuesday. I'm hoping I can get her home by then or Wednesday at the latest. Incarcerated is a rather harsh word & she is getting good care. Probably better than she will get at home. She will have home health coming in.
