A Color Ride

One of the things I have always wanted to do is spend a week in New England seeing the spectacular fall colors. It was just this week when I finally realized I really don't need to go to New England to see beautiful fall colors. I have seen the changing of the seasons almost my entire life. We go for color rides every fall. We can choose any number of places to view the brightly colored leaves. The reds & oranges are now changing to yellow & the leaves along the main street are now changing. On Wednesday I drove through Sardine Canyon on Wednesday. I almost wished I wasn't driving because I would have liked to have seen the leaves better.

A week ago, Sept. 29, Don took Mother & I for a ride up the Oneida Narrows. A week before that we went up Cub River, clear up to Willow Flat & up Sugar Creek.

Here are some pictures from the Narrows. Don took 15 pictures & I chose 7 to share. I tried to share them in the order taken. I'm not sure what direction we went. I just enjoyed the outing.

Coming out of the Narrows into Mink Creek. It's hazy, but the mountains
in the distance are covered with colored leaves also. (107)
I realize we have had a dry summer & the leaves would be brighter if we had had more moisture, but I still enjoyed the outing.
