I was going to read the Gospels every day of December. But, I didn't. So, then I decided I'd do a scriptural 12 days of Christmas. I found one on Sugardoodle. It wasn't quite what I wanted. But already, the "1st" day of Christmas has gone & it is now 11 days til Christmas.
I'm still not ready for Christmas, but got through Daughters of Utah Pioneers today. Mother went. It was a luncheon at Thedora Petterborg's. She served stuffed lasagna, salad with spinach, pomegranates & bleu cheese, (mmm, it was so good), hot, fresh rolls with real butter & strawberry jam. Dessert was peppermint ice cream with Pepperidge Farm cookies. We exchanged Christmas gifts. Mother took a blanket & a box of eggnog tea in a re-usable Christmas bag. I took a bar of Serenity bath soap from doTerra. The bar of soap itself cost more than the $7 limit, but like I told Mother, no one is going to believe I spent $8 on a bar of bath soap. I bought a bath sponge to go with it.
We also brought a can or some non-perishable food item to donate to the SouthEast Idaho Community Action Agency (SEICAA). I was in charge of taking them to the SEICAA office. We filled a plastic grocery bag full of cans, boxes & bags. I put it in a gift bag & took it over to the SEICAA office.. Kandi wasn't there, but the SEICAA office is right across the hall from ISU Outreach, so I went into ISU & talked to Sonya. I left the bag of food with her to give to Kandi.
I used to work for ISU Outreach before I had breast cancer (almost 5 years ago) & had never returned my keys. In fact, I had forgotten I even had them. I found the keys a few weeks ago in the console of my car & put them on the outside of my purse so I'd remember to return them. Sonya said she'd forgotten I had them also. I had 5 keys & 4 of them were still good. She has a new desk, so the desk key was the only one that wasn't.
