Lent, Day 6

So far, I haven't succeeded in either one of my goals for Lent. This is harder than I ever imagined it to be. I got to bed at 12:20 last night & up at 8:40 this morning. But I will persist. Blogging about it makes me write it down & acknowledge I'm not succeeding.

I wasn't as tired this morning as I have been, but I started taking the potassium pills again. They are so big they're hard to swallow so I take them with apple sauce. Someone has discovered the apple sauce & is helping me eat it. It's ok, we just go through apple sauce faster, LOL. Mother keeps telling me that we have the cellar full of bottled apple sauce & why don't I eat that. I've told her I really don't want to eat food that is older than my boys. Actually, the boys remember helping make it, so I guess it's not as old as I think it is.

It reminds me of a series of books I read called The Tripod Trilogy, only there is 4 books in the trilogy, LOL. These boys were going through a supermarket, but didn't know what it was & couldn't figure out what the cans were. The cans & stuff was 100 years old.

Tomorrow is the day for the chest x-ray, mammogram & blood test. I am definitely not looking forward to it. Don took the day off to take Mother & I to Logan to our "doctor day." The mammograms hurt so bad that I take hydrocodone for them. I hope I remember to take the paperwork for it.

Mother had a mammogram recently at Logan Regional & she said it didn't hurt at all. OMG, how would it be? She has had 8 breast surgeries. I've almost caught up with her. Hers were always benign, so I thought mine would be too. She started having them in the 1960s.

I got some of the towels picked up this afternoon & washed. It looks like there is another whole washer load to do.
