Second Sunday of Lent

Last night I turned off the light at 11:59, but I got up at 11:40 this morning. It wasn't really 12 hours of sleep because of Daylight Savings Time. I truly didn't plan on sleeping the morning away. I was going to put the roast on with the sauce, carrots & onion. Don got dressed & went to church so he could be at the library before the Whitney 1st Ward librarians locked the door. It was Debbie's weekend off from work, so she was there too.

Today has been a hard day for me. I got up late & all I had time to do was put the roast in the crockpot with some water before I went to church. After church I went down to feed the dog & couldn't reach the water pan. It was too far into the shed. I picked up my bags of food & went over to fix dinner. When I got over there I didn't have the recipe & some other stuff, so I came back & got that. The second time over I noticed the clock on the wall needed a new battery. I also discovered I didn't have ginger, soy sauce or other necessities that I needed to fix dinner, sigh. So, I called Don & asked him to bring it over. I figured by the time I ran back & forth all day picking up stuff I needed, we'd never eat. I'm surprised I was able to pull everything together so we could eat on time. With Don's help, I did.

I've had a hard enough time trying to make it to bed by 11:30 for the past 2 and a half weeks, then Daylight Savings Time comes along & according to our bodies it is still 10:30, grrr, but I will try to make it to bed by midnight (11 p.m. according to my body's clock). Tomorrow's a work day & I HAVE to be there by 9 a.m.
