Finished the Attitude of Gratitude for the month of November & did pretty darn good, if I do say so myself. I decided today I'm pretty thankful to live in Preston. I NEVER thought I'd say it. I think it's the first time in 60 years I have said it.
I've always been fascinated with Advent Trees. I found this on Facebook, followed it to the blog, Sugardoodle, & decided, just for giggles, to try it. You're supposed to color each ornament as you count down to Christmas. I'm posting it here, but won't print it out.
Today was another snowy day. One of my big pet peeves is people who abandon their shopping carts by their car & don't bother to "park" them in the shopping cart bay or whatever it's called. It makes it hard to park if the shopping cart is abandoned in a parking space & run away shopping carts can ding your car.
Today when I went to the grocery store, the parking lot was slushy, as slushy as it can be in below freezing weather. I parked & grabbed an abandoned shopping cart right by where I parked & pushed & pulled it over to the cart bay. A fellow Harry Potter fan was coming out of the store, I asked if she had seen the new Harry Potter movie. She said no, they'd just been too busy. We chatted about the movie while she put her groceries in her trunk. Then when she was finished, I offered to put her cart away. It wasn't pre-meditated, in fact, it was just a gut reaction. Thinking back over my day, I was wondering what I had done that could be counted as a random act of kindness or RAK.
I was lucky I had one to use. I'll have to be more aware of ways to have a "gracious heart."
