Memorial poems

My dad would have been 100 years old on Oct. 28, 2009. I've been thinking about putting In Memoriam in the Citizen that week. So, today, I've been computerizing all day. I have TBnB (tired butt & back) & I'm headed to bed, but, I found some poems on Elegant Memorials. I want to find the site again. What better place than my blog???
God Took Him To His Loving Home
God saw him getting tired, a cure was not to be.
He wrapped him in his loving arms and whispered ‘Come with me.’
He suffered much in silence, his spirit did not bend.
He faced his pain with courage, until the very end.
He tried so hard to stay with us but his fight was not in vain,
God took him to His loving home and freed him from the pain.

And another one:
The Broken Chain
I little knew that morning. God was going to call your name, In life I loved you dearly, in
death I do the same. It broke my heart to loose you, you did not go alone, for part of me
went with you, the day God called you home. You left me beautiful memories your love
is still my guide, and though we cannot see you, you're always at my side. Our family
chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain
will link again.

I'd also like to do something special for his 100th birthday. I should be in Salt Lake that day, if things go as planned, so I'm thinking. Still have a little over 4 weeks to think.

This year would be Mother & Daddy's 65th wedding anniversary also. I'd like to put something in the paper for that too.

Well, I'm so tired & itchy, it's time to give up my computerizing & go to bed. Don-Mike's home from work, most of the cats are in, so a pain pill & bedtime for me.

Uggg, Don just turned off the computer, guess he will beat me to bed & I'll have to stay up, groan. Now Nick's melting down, sigh.
