Moving in May, 5/19

I have to be quick tonight, only have a few minutes before I need to be in bed by midnight. I am so tired. I hope I can sleep in tomorrow morning.

Today, I checked my cell phone, aka my watch, when I started my walk. It was 1:10. I walked through Benson Park & stopped at the flag pole. I don't think I've walked through the park since Daddy retired. He was the caretaker of the park for many years when the city had it, before they gave it back to the LDS Church.

There is a beautiful poem written by Mark Hart on a plaque at the base of the flag pole. Mark Hart married Don & I in 1982 in the Logan LDS Temple. There is also a dedication to President Ezra Taft Benson's mother, Sarah Dunkley Benson. I am assuming the park is named after her. I always thought it was named after his wife, Flora.

As I continued through the park to First East, I saw the Farm Bureau office & realized I hadn't canceled the insurance on the 1969 Chev pickup that Nick traded for his '77 Chev Corvette. So, I angled my way across the street to the Farm Bureau office & canceled the insurance. Woo hoo, one less vehicle on our insurance!

Back to the car behind the Citizen. Nick called as I was almost to First South, wondering where I was. I said I'd drive over to Mother's as soon as I got back to the car. I forgot to check the time until I pulled into Mother's driveway, which is only a minute or 2 from the center of town. It was 1:29. So, even though I made a couple of stops, I was out & about for about 20 minutes. When I got home, Don & I walked down to feed the dog.

Now, I'm having people ask me if I'm sick because I've lost so much weight. I really haven't lost that much weight, but maybe the walking is helping tone up my tummy. I know my neck is getting thinner. I'm soon going to have a turkey neck.
