Moving in May, 5/24

Today we went over to Montpelier to decorate Frank's & Bertha's graves (Don's parents).

I think my sons have a death wish. They have no fear of cops giving them tickets for reckless driving & no fear of driving 80 through the canyons, Strawberry, Williams & Emigration, much less out on the open highway. Don-Mike drove his '80 Trans-Am aka Nan's Am with Mother & I as passengers on the way over; Nick drove his '97 Camaro with Don & Eddie as his passengers. I slept most of the way over. I asked Mother how she did & she said she hung on. Both cars have T-tops & I was glad I had a hat to pull down over my eyes. The sun wasn't shining, but that's a lot of windows. Nick was concerned about his wheels touching the wheel wells & the noise it makes, so Eddie rode with us on the way home. Don wouldn't have had any head room in the back of the Trans Am.

I didn't walk today. It rained quite hard. I got soaked walking from the church to the car after church. I fixed baked spaghetti & Nick didn't want to come eat because he doesn't like spaghetti, sigh. I know he doesn't like regular spaghetti but I baked it. I had $14 to spend on 2 meals last night at the store. Spaghetti is cheap.

I bought green onions the other day at the store, came home & carefully cut the roots off of them & put them in water so I could plant them. I was going to plant them yesterday, but forgot in the rush of decorating graves. I'm hoping to plant them tomorrow.

That is so funny. When ever I ask Nathan what he wants for dinner he always says Spegetti! He loves it and could eat it every meal if i would fix it that often. Was there still snow over Strawberry?

Very little snow, mostly in the shaded spots. It rained so hard here in the valley that there are still puddles today. Don said this storm added 2 inches of moisture. The high mountains are now covered in snow again.

The only way Nick will eat spaghetti is if it is baked, sigh. Mother & I love spaghetti.
