Moving in May, 5/22

I didn't really have anything to post about yesterday, no moving as such. Just a normal Friday work day on Thursday. I did go over to Mother's after work last night so she could have a bath.

Today was a normal Monday or production day on Friday. I got 15.5 hours in yesterday & today. I still don't see how we can only get 15 hours during an issue cycle. But we try. I'll go in tomorrow to finish the last four pages & then back in on Tuesday for a little while.

I walked to Lewiston State Bank at lunch, up the east side of State Street. I crossed at the light & walked back up the west side of State Street to the Subway, back across State Street to the Citizen & back to work. Total time, 1/2 hour. Once I got to Stokes, I sat down on the bench just outside the front door to decide why I'd walked to the bank. Just how much money did I need, sigh. I hate not being able to remember stuff.

I buzzed my head yesterday. I have 1/4-inch of hair all over my head except a few stray hairs around my ears that I missed. The real reason I buzzed it is because I was sick & tired of it. I had asked Don a couple of times in the last couple of weeks to cut it for me &, of course, he's always busy, either with Nick, Runescape or lately he's been working on the siding of the house.

It feels so good to not have that long, at least to me, straggly hair. I was having to pull hair out of my ear after putting my hearing aid in. Once I got it cut though, I was thinking about gardening. You severely prune back bushes to make them grow bushier. I've stopped taking the femara, which has a side-effect of male-pattern baldness. I thought maybe if I cut my hair really short, maybe it'll grow out a little better. All of my mom's sisters have very thin hair, except Mother. Hers is still thick & still has color. The others all have white, very thin hair.

I don't like looking in the mirror & wondering who that ugly man is, LOL. My hair will grow.

Nick had a first yesterday. The very first time he went to the barber all by himself for a hair cut. His hair has been looking like Young Einstein's & so I had $10 for groceries. I asked him if I gave him $10 would he go to Weldon (Cheney) & get his hair cut? He said yes. I told him the $10 was for a haircut, nothing else. If he didn't get his hair cut, I wanted all $10 back. He said what if it's less than $10. I said if anything, it would be more. If it was more, come & get some more $$. He got his hair cut & went right over to Mother's to show her.

You are brave: 1) cut your own hair and 2) to cut it so short!! I hope it grows out really thick and red!!! :)
