Today I chose to be thankful for this beautiful valley we live in. I love the mountains around us. I always feel safe when I drive into the valley, the mountains are like loving arms that surround me. I've gone through periods in my life when I am very uncomfortable when I leave the valley.
It has been a very snowy, rainy day. Some day to choose to be thankful for the place where I live.
I am thankful for transportation too. I plan on using that someday soon. Maybe tomorrow, if I remember. There are so many, many things to be thankful for.
This morning my car wouldn't start at the convenience store (Conoco). I prayed fervently that I could make it to work, half a block away. I also thanked the Lord that it stalled while still in a parking space & not in the street or the middle of the highway (State Street). The car started rather roughly. I prayed at the stop sign & all the way across the highway. Once across the highway, I knew I could coast into the alley behind the Citizen & park.
